Lloyd Cole discovered his love of surfing at the age of 7 when his older brothers introduced him to the sport. At the age of 12, after spending summers surfing in Llangennith and winters in
Tenerife, Lloyd embarked upon his professional surf career
when he was offered sponsorship by Billabong.
He went on to win numerous junior titles and regularly represented Wales and Great Britain in International contests. As an adult
Lloyd has been fortunate enough to travel on photoshoots with
the likes of Occy, Joel Parkinson and Dean Morrison and to
compete against (and sometimes beat) world renowned surfers
such as Jeremy Flores and Tim Boal.
Lloyd is a keen Longboarder and has also been SUPing for the past couple of years, he feels that both of these skills complement his shortboarding and aims to pass on this knowledge to others. Lloyd is passionate about Welsh surfing and hopes that this Surf School will promote Wales as a first class surf destination whilst helping to develop and nurture Welsh surfing talent.

supporting the Academy.
